Amazing Love - Romans 5.6-8

Rom. 5:6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

When I read these words, my heart fills up with the love of God. To realize when I was powerless, ungodly, a sinner and an enemy, my God died for me. Amazing Love!!! How can it be that Thou my God would die for me?
Ohhhhhhh how our God loves us.
This should get us fired up for a new day eh?

Suffering Produces...Romans 5.3-5

I have been thinking and praying for all of us at our various places and stages in life. I think to myself, " I hope our family and friends do not have to suffer." And then I read the truth of these words...
Rom. 5:3...we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
I cannot think of any better way for perseverance, character, hope and love to be forged into our being than through suffering. I do not like the idea of suffering but it is necessary part of our growth and development.
My hope today is in the Lord as we receive versus resist suffering in our lives.
With persevering and hope-full love,
