Don't Forget To Remember - Deut.8.2

I have been intrigued with two ideas from Scripture. In one place we are told to FORGET, Phil. 3:13 Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead..."
And in another place we are told to REMEMBER, Deut. 8:2 Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble you and to test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.
One of the ways that I REMEMBER is to summarize the good things that have happened in our lives over the last 30 days. I take time at the end of each month for reflection, review and remembering. When Debbie and I go away for our anniversary in June, we take time to REMEMBER all the good things the Lord has done in our lives the last 6 months. We also do this at the end of the year. I believe this simple practice, habit, discipline helps us to fulfill the command to REMEMBER.
What about you? What are you doing to REMEMBER the goodness of the Lord in your life?
