My Father's Wedding Ring
Recently my mother gave me my father's wedding ring after he
"graduated" to heaven in 2005. They were married 52 years. I have put
this ring in a drawer that I open every day. The drawer contains all
the things I use to get ready for a new day. Every time I open that
drawer and get ready, I see my Dad's wedding ring. Every day it
speaks to me of his fidelity and faithfulness to our God, my Mom and
our family. He fulfilled the vows he made..."for better or worse, for
richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do us part".
I am inspired by this every day. I want to be a man who is faithful
all the way to the end...faithful to my God, faithful to my wife,
faithful to my family, and faithful to God's family.
What do you look at often to remind you of the vows you made before
God and other witnesses?
