I believe that a man becomes a prevailing disciple of Jesus Christ through various private disciplines in life. They are time in the Word, Prayer, Fasting and Journaling.
B. PrayerI love to pray. I have a passion for men to be men of prayer. I once heard my Dad say, "Most people don't believe in the power of prayer".
1) What is prayer? - It is the pouring out of my heart to God and bringing my will in alignment with his.
2) What does a man of prayer look like?
- He prays without ceasing. 1 Thes. 4:7; Col. 4:2
- He prays daily. Daniel 6:1-11
- He prays with his wife… 1 Peter 3:7
- He prays weekly in small group.
- He prays intensely. Mark 9:14-29; Luke 5:16; 6:12
